Mozambique is on the cusp of an economic transformation that will rank it among Southern Africa’s most significant industrial nations. The discovery of one of the world’s largest natural gas reserves in the Rovuma Basin — off the northern coast in Cabo Delgado Province — has attracted over $50 billion in LNG project investment from Total, ENI and their partners. These mega-projects are driving demand for enormous quantities of structural steel for onshore facilities, LNG plant support buildings and port infrastructure.

Inland, Tete Province contains one of the world’s largest coking coal deposits, with Vale, Jindal Steel and other mining companies operating large-scale coal mines and processing facilities. The Nacala Corridor — a 900-km railway connecting Tete’s mining zone to Nacala Port — has catalysed logistics and industrial development across northern Mozambique. New Life Steel Structures supplies large-span mining support structures, conveyor galleries, equipment workshops and coal handling buildings for Tete’s operations.

Maputo, Mozambique’s capital and main commercial port, serves as the gateway for South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi’s landlocked trade — one of Southern Africa’s most strategic port locations. The Maputo Special Economic Zone (MOSZ) and Beluluane Industrial Park attract regional and international manufacturers requiring fast-built, cost-effective industrial facilities.
